Bullseye Valentine

Hello Papercrafters,

Happy Friday!  I hope everyone has been having a good week, I know a lot of you are excited and getting ready for Superbowl Sunday!  We'll I hope you all enjoy the game, we are not football watchers at my house, so we will be otherwise engaged, lol.....actually the girls want to start making their valentines so we will probably make it a crafty day :)

My apologies for not being a diligent blog poster this week......my husbands aunt passed away :(  and I had a stomach bug hit me yesterday, couldn't hold any food down until last night, but I feel much better today so I am looking forward to the weekend!

I have a Valentine to share today.....I had planned on sharing this a little closer to the big day but with all that has gone on and kept me from the craft room this week I decided I would share this little beauty today.

I based my card on the SFF sketch, that I made a few other cards with.......I found this ended up being a great challenge for me, by that I mean I took a sketch and created more than 1 card with it...........I think this card is my favorite of all .

I used the chevron folder for my 'bullseye' (as you can see better in the second photo)....I love the chevron!.......and those arrows are so fun to play with although a bit fussy to cut out, but I love the effect.  I also love the stamp 'I freakin' love you!' I've already gotten a lot of use out of it......my daughter wanted me to use it on a birthday card for her best friend which I did......so it has uses beyond Valentines day

On the inside I used a 'hugs & kisses' stamp.  I freakin love it, lol!

Thank you for taking the time to stop by, I hope my valentine inspires you to create one of your own :)

Next week I will be sharing more valentines, plus I have a super cute, super easy Valentine treat favor to share!   Please stop by and see what's new in my crafty corner!

Have a great day and a wonderful weekend!

Hearts side Banner Valentine

Hello Papercrafters,

Happy Monday to you all!  I hope everyone had a great weekend, I so enjoy time off from the hectic weekday schedules but alas 2 days go by so fast.  I had planned on posting Monday thru Friday last week, although as it turns out  I wasn't able to get anything ready for Friday :(   So I will try to fulfill that goal this week!

Today I thought I would share another Valentine greeting card I recently created......I've also recently been adding the 'sewing' technique to some of my projects, and I love the look, don't know why I waited so long, lol, there's just so many cool things to try I guess it just takes awhile to get around to trying them all.

This greeting is really simple, a little stamping, some die cutting, a little sewing and walla, a sweet little Valentine......

I love the simplicity....a lot of the time I make really busy cards, it's nice to switch it up sometimes.

Over the weekend I did some surfing and learned to make a box card, I will be sharing my box card creations with you soon!   Woo Hoo it's so inspiring to try out something new....

Thanks for stopping by......have a wonderful day!

Challenge Combo Frenzy Sketch and Color

Hello Papercrafters,

Happy Thursday! I am back with another take on the Friday Frenzy Sketch challenge I did earlier in the week, it seems to be turning into a personal challenge as I have gone on to make 4 cards using that sketch, lol,  I may have to try this again it's kind of fun and now I have several cards made and ready to give.

I'm also combining today's card with a color challenge with a private group I'm in at FB,  the colors are saffron, slate and tangerine.

We'll I am off to run some errands, I hope to get back in my studio this afternoon.  Thank you for stopping by......Have a wonderful day!

Sketch Friday Frenzy Take Two

Hello Papercrafters,

Happy Wednesday!  With a holiday on Monday and a birthday to celebrated Tuesday here we are already on Wednesday.....Friday will be here before you know it.  We had a lot of fun yesterday.....ate lots of yummy Mexican Food, plus cake and ice cream! and watched the birthday girl open her gifts, it's hard to believe she's already 12, seems like only yesterday she was my little baby, oh my in the blink of an eye she will be grown up and graduating.  I feel so blessed she is a very sweet, with a kind heart, I am very proud of the beautiful little lady she is becoming.

Today I am back with another Valentine,  I liked the sketch friday frenzy sketch so much that I decided to explore it a bit more so I created a card with the more typical valentine colors using the same sketch.......I'm thinking about doing a 3rd version once I get into my craft studio for tomorrows post.

I used some primrose cs and framelits 'hearts a flutter' dies to make the hearts, and I added in a bit of the 'fresh prints' dsp.  I wanted to use one of the doilies but I don't currently have any so I pulled out my doily die and made one using white cs.

I love that little 'love' bird and have used it several times already......he's from the set 'Love you more'....this set will only be available for a limited time thru the end of January or until supplies run out, so don't delay if you want your own.

Here's the inside:

I really love the way this greeting turned out.....now I'm off to see what else I can come up with :)

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!!

Sketch Friday Frenzy Valentine

Hello Papercrafters,

Happy Tuesday!  Today is a special day around here :) it's my daughters Birthday!!!!

Happy Birthday Maia!!!!   I Love You!!!

Yea....time to celebrate!  I just wish she didn't have school :( last year she lucked out and Martin Luther Kings holiday was on her birthday and there was no school, it's going to be awhile until that happens again.

I was cruising around the web  and discovered the SketchFridayFrenzy blog ( we'll I did have a little help from my friend and SFF design team member Jennifer Kay) anyway they have challenges, since they just started a new one and I liked the sketch I decided to participate in the challenge. Here's the sketch....

I love the color selection in the dsp stack 'fresh prints' in the new SU occasions catalog, so I decided to make a valentine using the pool party and brown sugar color scheme, it was fun to create 'not your typical valentine' since I usually always pick red and white or pink and white for my valentines.

And now that it's done I am so glad I did use this combo, I love it!.....that ruffled ribbon works great on circles, it made the perfect trim for a valentine....I really need to get more colors of this ribbon.

Thank you Sketch Friday Frenzy! I loved the sketch and your design team examples were so inspirational :)....I love challenges they help me spread my wings and discover new things,  it was fun and I will be back again to participate!

Thanks for stopping by, Have a great day!

Cupids Heart Valentine Greeting

Hello Papercrafters,

Happy Monday all!  It's a 3 day weekend here so the kiddo's are home today, and tomorrow is my daughters birthday!  She turning 12, wow, she has grown up so fast, so we are going to go play today to get the celebration started.  I love birthdays and we celebrate several in the spring, there's someone in our family with a birthday every month through April....then we take a little break and start in again in July through November.   Not complaining though, I'm always ready for cake and ice cream :)

I had hoped I would have a birthday greeting to share today in honor of my daughters special day but the constraints of time kept me from getting it done and the card I made for her is a design I have shared before,  so since Valentines Day will soon be here I thought I would share another Valentine Greeting Card, this card has a mixture of new and retired products but since they are all Stampin'Up! they still work very well together.

I really love the new 'fresh prints' dsp stack from the Occasions, there's a lot of pretty designs that would work well for a variety of occasions.  For the inside I stamped some xxx's & ooo's

Thank you for stopping by, I'll be back tomorrow with another project to share.

Have a wonderful day!

Recipe Box Video Tutorial

Hello Papercrafters,

Happy Friday!  Welcome back, we'll it's been a very productive week for me, yea,  I posted all week, cleaned up some clutter around the house, and got a video done for today even though I got a surprise phone call from the eye dr. that my new contacts were in and I had to make a trip to town to pick them up.......btw I love my new contacts,  I've worn the hard lenses for years but am trying out some soft lenses and omg they are so comfortable compared to hard lenses, I don't know why I waited so long to try them, lol.

Anyway I have a video tutorial of how I constructed the basic box I used for my recipe box, I included the sizes of the tabbed dividers and the recipe cards, but the decorating I will save for another video.

If you have any questions about this project just leave a comment on this post or email me:  papercraftingstamper@gmail.com

Thank you for stopping by, I wish you a fabulous, fun-filled weekend!

Masculine Birthday Greeting

Hello Papercrafters,

I hope your having a good week so far, I've been busy so it seems like it's going by quickly.  I was in need of a masculine birthday card this week so I decided to share the card I created with you.

I have the most difficult time with manly cards and in fact plan on getting the 'Lovely as a tree' stamp set and want to add some other images to my collection along that line such as the map stamp, but since I didn't have either of those that I just mentioned I found some dsp that was fitting for the occasion and the recipient.

It's a simple layout with the focus on the greeting, but not too frilly ;)

Today I am working on uploading the video tutorial of my recipe box and I will be posting it on my blog on Friday!  My focus will be on the construction of the box itself, I may do another tutorial in the near future of the decorating of the box, although I will include the measurements of the divider tab cards and the recipe cards.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful Thursday!

File Tab Pocket Greeting

Hello Papercrafters,

I hope your all having a great week so far, it's going by way to fast for me as I still have a lot to do before my daughters Birthday next week.  January birthday's are sometimes hard to get geared up for after just having finished with the holidays but I'm always ready for a party and all the trimmings.

Today I'm going to share a birthday greeting with you, no I'm not giving this card to my daughter, ( made her one more youthful since she will be turning 12),  but birthday's happen all through the year so I try to keep some on hand and I wanted to use the new Envelope punch board to create a File Tab Pocket Card.

I was hooked on tab making after I made the first tab so I've made several more cards using this technique, I have some of my favorites scheduled for future posts.

I decided to make a pocket rather than having the card open up because I liked having the personalizing/ sentiment area as part of the overall design.......it's hard to tell because of the lighting but that is not a metal brad but a rhinestone.

If you have a punch board you really should try this technique, it's really fun.......I think I'm going to get my bookkeeping all spruced up and organized with my own file folders........great idea, but it's going to take awhile to squeeze that in :)

Thanks so much for stopping by, I hope my creations inspire you!

Have a wonderful day!

Baby Girl Banner Greeting

Hello Papercrafters,

Happy Tuesday, we are off to a good start, girls are happy to be back to school, lol sort of :), and to see their friends, but not happy about back to homework, and I'm happy to have a chunk of uninterrupted time so that I can actually accomplish something, yea!

Today I have the Baby girl Greeting card as promised, once again I was making use of some of my freebies, they included 3 retired simply stampin kits which I was very excited to see, I love the stickers they always included, plus you get lots of 12 x 12 cs! When I was choosing my base I went for a darker shade of pink, actually used 'primrose petal', I know pastels are usually the choice for baby greetings but it just wasn't working for me..........here's the front:

I used some of the banner stickers from the kit and added some twine to create the banner, the baby carriage is dry embossed and I used pinking shears around the edges and I finally used my precious baby ticket stamp for the first time :) I don't know why it took so long, seriously 'that the ticket' is on my favorites list of SU stamp sets, on the inside I simply stamped a sentiment.

Now I'm off on another adventure, I hope you have a great day!

Baby Boy Greeting with Blue Whale die

Hello Papercrafters,

Welcome and Happy Monday,

Well my girls are officially back to school, they all grumbled a bit because we are back to early mornings but they were happy they would get to see their friends......and now finally I can get back to a normal routine of housework and crafting.

Since it is the beginning of a new year I always get a bug in January to get everything in the house more organized......I don't know what happens but it doesn't take long for chaos to ensue........so far I have gotten the junk catching drawer in the dining room cleaned and organized,  I went through my jewelry yesterday and matched up earrings and got that mess cleaned up.....but the most fun so far was the organizing that is going on in my crafty fortress.....for Christmas I received a ribbon rack and a scrapbooking cart....so now all my SU ribbon is all nice and neat on the rack and my blocks, adhesives, embellishments, markers and dsp are all neatly organized and I've even stamped out some labels, yeaaaa, I'm loving all this neatness!

But oh my I have a lot of crafting stuff and still have so much to do to get it all in order....one day at a time :)  Anyway, enough of that for now :)  I'm trying to be more diligent at posting on a regular basis so my goal is to post daily Monday thru Friday.....so for today I will share a Greeting for a new baby boy,  I used some of the fabulous freebies I received for the book-a-thon, one of the items they included was the whale die, it's so stinkin cute and when I saw it I knew I would have to do a baby boy greeting with it.

Don't you just love the water droplets coming from his spout and that anchor is so awesome!

Here's the inside

Thanks for stopping by today....tomorrow I will be sharing a baby girl greeting, so be sure to stop by again and see what's new!.....later in the week I will share the details to construct my recipe box.   Have a wonderful day!

Recipe Box with Envelope Punch Dividers

Hello Papercrafters,

I have something a little different to share today.....I got a wild hair, lol and decided to make use of my recipe card stamp set, and the envelope punch board. I just love making the file tabs, lol, and I've made several cards and was looking for another project.  I wanted my box to be sturdy since recipes get a lot of use, they should anyway, so I set out to create a box that would accommodate the recipe cards and dividers.  It took a piece of 12" x 12 " cs plus a little more for the box,  then I decorated it with dsp and some of the scrappin kit freebies I earned with the book-a-thon,  I chose blue & yellow so that it would match my kitchen.

Here's a closer view of the cards....

(For a close-up view just click on the photos)

I love the way it turned out,  I think these would make fabulous gifts.....for mom's grandma's, or perhaps for newlyweds, you could include some family recipes to get them started.

If you would like to know how I made the box just leave a comment and I will share the details with you.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Valentine Mini Card trio

Hello Papercrafters,

I'm trying to get back into my regular schedule of crafting and posting, even though it's a bit difficult with my girls still on winter break......they keep me hopping and it's hard to keep up.......but with the holidays behind us I have been escaping to my crafty fortress and creating some new goodies.  Today I thought I would continue the Valentine theme and share some of the gift cards I created for a Valentine Boutique I will be participating in.........these are 3" x 3 " mini cards and they fit nicely in SU's mini envelopes.  These are great to add to a gift and are blank inside so you may personalize to your liking.

I kept them simple with some stamping and a touch of bling, if you stamped a sentiment on the inside you could turn them into Mini Valentines for co-workers, friends, or class parties....and let the kids make their own.

I worked with the 'Love you more'  and 'Quite the pair' stamp sets...... the 'Love you more is only available  for a limited time, that's where that cute bird with heart in his beak came from......here's the #131853  clear $16.95  &  #131850 wood $ 21.95.

Thanks for stopping by, have a wonderful day!

Valentine Framelits Banner Greeting

Hello Papercrafters,

January is well upon us and the holidays are all tucked away till next year.....so it's time to start getting ready for Valentines Day, and it will be here before you know it.  So I've been working on some new designs for 2014, today's card is really quite simple to create, I used SU framelits 'Hearts a Flutter' to die cut the banner shapes and my dsp is from the new Occasions catalog, it's the 'fresh prints' stack.  There are lots of nice patterns and bright springy colors in this stack all are double sided too!

Here's the front

I also added a bit of sewing to attach the banner.....I love the look, simply sweet.

On the inside I used the mini punch for the hearts and stamped the sentiment.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful 2014 so far...Happy New Year!!

Thanks for stopping by,

Tamara
