Day 5 Happy Easter Banner!
Hello everyone and Welcome to Day 5 of our hop! I'm so glad you decided to join us again it's been so much fun and I really appreciate all the wonderful comments. My day was jam packed, my daughter is now sporting a flourescent pink cast on her arm, we had a nice lunch together and we did a little shopping for a new outfit for her and her sisters. Then onto meetings, softball practice and back to work on today's project and I finished! Yea! I was starting to worry, there were just too many things happening all at the same time.
Today's project is a Happy Easter Banner, now let me tell you this project is not for the faint of heart, lol, turned out to be a lot of work, but I put a lot of details into it, now that it's done I think it was worth the work. To see a closer view just click on the picture.
I used the Bigz die 'Perfect Pennants' and I cut my CS so that I cut 2 colors at the same time (the pink for the triangles, green for the scallops. I used a dauber to ink the edges. The bunnies and chicks are from the 'Everybunny' stamp set, I used watercolor pencils and SU markers to color, then added some glitter.
To create the letters I found this font in one of my card maker magazines, so I scanned the image with the alphabet, imported the image into my art program cut and pasted the letters I wanted onto a separate document, printed them out, cut them to size then by hand I added the leaves to the letters and used a mini punched flower. Oh my I love this font it's so cute for spring projects!
I hope you like this project, if anyone is interested in more detailed instructions, just email me. Don't forget to comment for another chance at my blog candy, I have a stamp set for the winner, I will be announcing the winner on Saturday March 17, so be sure to stop by and see if your a winner.
