Holly Jolly Framed Greeting

Happy Sunday,
This weekend has flown by, got some clutter spots cleaned up :D, did laundry, shopped for groceries and did some crafting. This evening I watched a scary movie with the girls and we played Skip-bo at the same time of course, lol. But oh my I can see this week is going to be so busy and go by so fast. We are going to my mil's on Thanksgiving, but I will be sharing some of the cooking load with my sil because my mil is getting up there in age and can't handle a big dinner like that anymore. So I will be making black eyes, corn, green salad and 2 pumpkin pies, yum! Of course with 3 growing girls we will also be baking up that 25 lb. bird we got, I'm thinking tomorrow, then we can cruise through the week with lots of leftovers.....I have a craft fair on Friday so I need easy meals.

Here is card version number 3 I promised to share with you, I really love the versatility I was able to achieve using basically the same layout but switching up how/and what framed pieces I used. I used the DSP Forest Lodge from the current mini, love this DSP, the wood prints are way cool and so are the plaids......they would be great for manly cards.
Overall this is a clean, simple design. I hope you enjoyed.

Hello everyone,
Well it's official, my girls have no school for the next 9 days! Wow, it's going to be crazy, lol, but I'm happy for the break from our day to day rigid schedule. We started the adventure this evening.....In and Out for dinner and then shopping for groceries and supplies the upcoming holiday. I have to say we got a turkey!, 25 pounder, I was going to go for the 17 lb. but my oldest daughter thought that was too small, lol, and wanted me to get a bigger turkey, so we got the 25 lb. Now last week we shopped for groceries at win-co and the turkey's were $1.18 a lb so I didn't get one, today we went to Food maxx and the turkey's were .38 cents a lb, wow, big difference. I like alot of things at Win-co but some things are too expensive. Just my personal opinion, lol, anyway.......

Today I have another version of a card using the Holly Jolly Christmas stamp in the current mini. I really like creating the frame with the nestabilities so each card uses some form of the frame. On this card I cut a piece of DSP 4 " x 5.25" then used the die to cut the frame out (which I used in another card) then I took the outside edge that was left and framed the front of the card, the DSP in the wood prints is awesome for this technique. I also added some snowmen from the Jolly Jingle Bit's stamp set and lots of glitter! I will post version 3 over the weekend. Thanks for stopping by!

Good morning,
Wow, I just realized that Thanksgiving is one week away, this year sure has flown by, I'm really looking forward to turkey day and the beginning of the holiday season! My girls have no school all next week, used to be just Thursday and Friday, but they have changed it to all week, which makes it nice for preparing for the holiday and enjoying the day. This year I will be out and about on black Friday, but not as a shopper.....I will be selling my paper crafted goodies at a holiday boutique!! I am looking forward to it! Here is a Christmas greeting I recently made with the new holly jolly Christmas stamp....I actually made 3 versions of this card each a little different, come back for a visit I will be posting the other versions tomorrow and Saturday! Enjoy!
Thanks for stopping by,
Tamara

Hello and greetings to all,
It's been quite awhile since I've been able to make a post, I'm having issues with my computer and it's internet connection, actually it's also crashing alot so it's really time to clean up shop, lol, but I'm getting side tracked here :D

It's a really busy time of year, I've been helping my husband with the raisin harvest, still not quite done, but should be by the end of the week! Can't wait.....then on November 25 and November 30th I will be selling my papercrafted goodies at a couple of local craft fairs! I'm so excited and kinda nervous, but I know it's going to be fun. I've been creating all kinds of new items and today I thought I would share a couple of pocket albums I created. I saw the idea in an issue of the Stampin Success magazine's. After making a few I found that I really like them, they turn out really cute, and they are fast and easy to create.
Start with a piece of CS 5"x10", then score 1 1/4"from the bottom and fold to form the pockets, then score every 2 1/2" and fold. I created tags for the pockets to journal on or add photos to, then just embellish as desired! Too Cute! Try one :D
I think I might make a few more so I have plenty, then if they don't all sell I'll be ready for Christmas!
I hope you enjoy,
Tamara

Happy Halloween Easel Card

Good morning,

Happy belated Halloween!

Yesterday was a busy day indeed, I dressed up as a black cat, made my own ears and tail, lol, painted a cat nose and whiskers on, and had so much fun, going about my day. After school my daughter and I went to the store to pick up a couple things and we got the biggest laugh at this lady that was staring mouth wide open, lol, fun, good times :D I love Halloween and dressing up!!!
Thought I would share a cute easel Halloween card I made I love this gravestone stamp, so disappointed that it has been retired.
After stamping the little witch image I used SU markers to color it in, I stamped the birds then heat embossed them in black, they look so cool.

I hope you enjoyed my little card, I have more projects coming up and I also have more video tutorial's in the planning stages. We are still working on harvest so my schedule is full and chaotic but it will soon be done, yeah!!!! then I will be back to a crafting as much as possible, lol.
Thanks for stopping by!

Good Morning,

I will be so glad when it's done, I'm having creative withdrawals, lol, can't wait for more crafting time.
This video is a first for me and I have much to learn but I had fun doing it so I will be making more :D I hope you can understand and learn to create this beautiful flowers your self. The video is over at youtube so I'm just putting a link here: my computer is having connection problems so I had to use another computer to upload it.

Glitter Queens October Hop-Day 3

Happy Wednesday everyone,

I hope you've been hopping along with us this week, the Glitter Queens have created some fabulous projects, full of great ideas that will hopefully inspire you to get crafty! We are all have different styles and I get so many fantastic ideas from the other Glitter Queens! These hops are a great fun way to share what we all have a passion for-Paper Crafting, I'm looking forward to future hops!

For my final project I kept the focus on the Thanksgiving table, this time I choose to make a kraft box (they are currently in the Holiday mini) into my centerpiece. Of course it could also decorate a table any where in the house. And I made some napkin rings to match the favors and name tags.I recently learned how to make the paper roses, and decided to create a couple in the teal paper and used a dauber
to add brown to the edges, I couldn't believe how gorgeous they were and thought these would look great on a kraft box and would match the 'Spice cake' DSP.

I simply added DSP panels to the sides, top and bottom of the box, stamped out some leaves and other images from the 'French Foliage' set. I filled the inside up with mini Hershey's chocolates covered with the 'give thanks' band from the 'Its a wrap holidays' set. I love it so much and I'd like to put it out already but if I did my girls would gobble down the candy before Halloween, lol. May have to refill it a time or two.

To create the napkin rings I began with the backing from a new pk of DSP, then I cut it 1 1/2" x 6". I covered both sides with DSP, then I used a round bottle to roll it, so it wouldn't bend. I overlapped about 1/2" and punched a hole in the center of one end, then match and mark the other side and use a brad to connect. You will need a small piece of cs (I used 3/4"circle punch) to cover the brad on the inside so it doesn't snag your napkin. The other ring is made the same except I punched 2 holes and used ribbon to connect it together. To decorate
them I simple stamped out the images then cut them and attached them to the rings.

I hope you enjoyed my projects for this hop, I had alot of fun creating them, in fact I'm thinking I may start creating some video tutorials.

Now before I forget, for my Blog Candy I am giving away is the 'Kindness Matters' Stamp Set, it's one of my favorites! Just remember to leave a comment for a chance to win.

Many thanks for taking the time to stop by, I feel very honored by your visit and I love reading your comments, please stop in again soon!

Day 2 Glitter Queens October Hop

Hello and welcome to day 2 of the Glitter Queens Blog Hop! I hope you enjoyed day 1 of our hop, I saw lots of great projects, I'm so inspired by everyone's creativity!

For today's project I wanted to continue on with the fall theme and make something for our Thanksgiving table. I thought it would be fun to have name tags/favors to help make our table a little more special. I couldn't decide on just one so I have 3 versions to share with you, I think I'm going to make 2 of the 3 for our holiday table this year.
Once again the stamp set's I chose to work with are 'French Foliage' and 'Faith in Nature', and I used the DSP 'Spice Cake'.

First I created the stand up cards, after making the easel card (from day1) I wanted to use the same method on the cs base as I did on the easel card. The cards measure 3 1/2" x 8" (score @ 4" and fold) I started out with a neutral base then stamped it with the leaves and distressing spots stamps. Then I added a layer of DSP, the other images were stamped then cut out and attached to the front.

Then I decided to make a combo favor/name tag, I actually did 2 versions, one is the sour cream container. I made it with 'Spice cake' DSP and decorated it with images from the 'French Foliage' set.

The last set is made with the mini milk carton Big Shot die, I love them they're so darn cute! I made one with 'more mustard' CS and the other with 'pool party' CS, the pool party is my fav, love the leaves that color. I used the mini clips to close so it will be easy to get to the treat.

For any of you considering becoming a demonstrator, this October is a great time, Stampin'Up! is giving new demo's a Big Shot!!! Wow, if I wasn't already a demo, that would make me sign up, I love my Big shot! and I'd love to have you join my team!

Thank you for hopping by I hope you enjoyed my projects! Be sure to leave a comment I have some blog candy to give away!

Don't forget to leave a comment at the end of this post if you liked my project and I'll put you in the drawing for my blog candy! Thanks for stopping by and happy hopping!!! Glitter Queens October Blog Hop-Day 1

Good morning Ladies,

Welcome to our October Blog Hop!, we are so glad to have you join in and hop along, we hope you enjoy your visit and that we inspire you with our fall projects.

I chose to use the Stamp Set's 'French Foliage', from the IBC and 'Faith in Nature' one of the hostess sets from the IBC, I also used the DSP Spice cake. For anyone out there thinking of hosting a workshop there are some fabulous hostess sets to choose from and they are so affordable, you will love the new benefits of hosting a workshop! Plus in October you also get a Big Shot when you become a demonstrator!

For today's Hop I created 2 greeting cards. I love the leaves in the French Foliage set and I played around and stamped them in greens, yellows, oranges and browns, trying to mimic the colors mother nature gives the leaves this time of year.

For my first card, I wanted to showcase the pear stamp from the 'Faith in Nature' set, so I used two dies to cut out and create the frame using 'Spice Cake' DSP, I used dimensional's to attach the frame, after stamping the pear image in 'Lucky Limade' I used SU Watercolor Pencils to color in the image and added dimensional's to the back, then centered and attached it to the card front. I finished the card front by accenting the frame with some of the stamped leaves, I also added one leaf to the inside of the card.
I hope you like it, love the way it turned out and will be using the 'framed' technique again!

For my second card I decided to create and easel card, I started out with some neutral CS. After cutting and scoring I used the 'French Foliage' set, and I randomly stamped the CS with the cursive wording stamp, the leaves, and the distressing stamp, then I used 2 layers of complimentary CS ( more mustard & tempting turquoise) to frame the DSP before attaching it to the front, I used the same CS frame around the sentiment before attaching. To complete the card I attached the leaves around randomly and used the cursive writing stamp layered on DSP to make the easel stand up.

I really love the way this card turned out too, I think it would make a nice fall display at any Thanksgiving table.

I hope you like my projects today, be sure to leave a comment and I will put you in the drawing for my Blog Candy!!!

Front cut Fold Christmas Greeting

Good Monday Morning,
My apologies for not posting last week....to start with last monday was my 30th Wedding Anniversary, yes 30 years!, it has gone by so fast, now we are starting on the next 30 :) Then my youngest had a dental appointment that ended up taking most of the day....and our local fair started on Wednesday and ended Saturday, I took my girls on Thursday and Friday, they had arm bands, so it was unlimited rides until 10 pm. We were all so exhausted that we slept in till 11am on Saturday.
And then over the weekend our dsl modem went out :/ so until the new one gets here I have to use dial-up.....we are talking slow, lol. I was in a bit of a panic since we have a blog hop scheduled for next week, but if I have to I can go to my mil's and piggy back her dsl.

For today I thought I would share a Christmas Greeting I created using a different kind of a front....I actually received a swap from my upline Dawn although the card was made by Susan Nygaard. The front was made in a unique way.....it measures 4 1/4 by 5 1/2, after you score and fold you cut the front in about half then turn the cut sideways and attach to the front. It's fun to try a new type of card, try it out.

Thank you for visiting, I hope you have a wonderful day!

Birthday Greetings

Good Friday Morning,
This week has flown by, it's the first day of fall, and the holidays are just around the corner! The last quarter of the year is by far my favorite, with Halloween, delicious Thanksgiving celebrations and of course Christmas!, lot's of crafting fun goes on this time of year :D

Our next Glitter Queens Blog Hop will be here soon.....the hop will be on Oct, 10th, 11th & 12th, so be sure to hop on by and see what yummy papercrafts we have to share! I've been busy working on my blog hop projects, I had so much fun last time, can't wait for this time!

Today I have a Birthday Greeting to share with you, I created this card for my mil's birthday, I wanted something really pretty that she could keep out on her dresser and enjoy looking at, she doesn't get around like she used to and is bedridden much of the time, so I wanted a card that would brighten her day everyday.

I used the tulip frame embossing folder, the scallop corner punch, pearls and ribbon and Cheerful Treat DSP. I used SU watercolor pencils to color the flower. My mil is so sweet, she loved the card and wanted to hear all the details about how I created it.
I hope you enjoyed today's card, I will be back on Monday with a new project, until then I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!!!

Personalized Birthday Greeting

Good Wednesday Morning,
Here we are half way through the week, I'm so glad, last weekend was really busy and I don't feel like I got enough chill-axin done. :D We have nothing scheduled for the upcoming weekend, yeaaa, I'm so looking forward to just hanging with my girls.

For today's project I'm going to share the card I made for the other Birthday girl this past weekend. I really love the way this bright happy card turned out. I decided to use the Pennant Parade set again with a different twist, since Rylee's name only had 5 letters I thought how cute would it be to personalize the card with her name on the front.
So I stamped the pennants, then I stamped the letters of her name and used my mini circle punch to punch them out, then attached them to the pennants. For the base of my card I used Regal Rose CS and layered it with Cheerful Treat DSP-(hostess only) I used the Bring on the Cake set to stamp the sentiment on the front. To accent and finish the card front I used flat backed pink brads and a silk flower with a white brad center. On the inside I stamped a sentiment.
The Birthday girl was thrilled with her card :D, which thrilled me!

Thank you for stopping by,
Have a wonderful day!

Wish Big Greeting Card

Good Monday morning!,
I hope everyone had an enjoyable weekend, we had a great but busy weekend. Saturday I took my girls shopping for Birthday gifts.......my daughter Maia was invited to a party for her friend and her sister, both have Sept. b-days so they always do one big party for both. Plus my mil celebrated her birthday yesterday, she's a young 81 :)

So for this weeks posts I thought I would share the Birthday cards I created.
This is the card I made for Joleen, I love the new Pennant parade stamp set so I started with that to get my creative juices flowing. I had a die cut cake that my daughter wanted me to use in the card, which was the inspiration for my color
scheme.

I used Regal Rose CS for the base then I layered the front with the DSP Cheerful Treat-this CS is one of the fabulous items available if you host a workshop with sales of $150. or more! I love this DSP so pretty and so springy! I stamped the pennants on the rose cs then I layered them on some concord crush. I added a ribbon swag that I hung the pennants on, I left the swag a little loose so they hang out from the card a bit, although it still fit nicely in an envelope. On the inside I stamped a simple Happy Birthday Sentiment.

Here is my supply list:
Regal Rose CS #105130
Concord Crush CS#119792
Cheerful Treat DSP #122381 Hostess Only
Pennant Parade Stamp Set #122742
Happiest Birthday Wishes Stamp Set #122617 Hostess Only
Melon Mambo Ink #115656
Concord Crush Ink # 119785

I hope you enjoyed my card today, check back on Wednesday to see the card I created for Rylee...I also used the Pennant Parade Set, but this card is personalized :D
Have a great day!

Simply Christmas Greeting

Happy Friday!
I always look forward to friday and the beginning of the weekend! With 3 young girls the weekdays are so busy that it's nice to have some leisure time. But we have a bit of a busy weekend with 2 birthday parties oh my....I really do need to create some birthday cards!

For today's share I have a simple Christmas Greeting. I created it using a real red cs base then added a layer of embossed vanilla cs. Then I used the Decorative label punch to create the Dec 25 tag. I also used the scallop punch on the edges of the DSP layer.

I made the ribbon accent on the corner and added an antique brad to the center. On the inside I stamped the sentiment on a tag and then added a stamped and colored decorative holly and berries.

Next week I will have some new projects to share with you, plus I will have the details to be entered to win my October Blog Candy!
We will also be having another Glitter Queens Blog Hop mid October, I will post details when I have more information, we are still in the planning stages.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Snow much fun

Good morning,
I'm running late on this post but I had a meeting first thing this morning with the speech teacher at my daughters school. It was all good, she graduated from the program!!! Yea Priscilla :D

Today I have a Christmas Card that I created using the stamp set 'Snow much Fun' and SU's new DSP 'Letters to Santa' I really love the snow men in this set, it's alot of fun to work with and there's so many options crafting with them. I used a base of real red cs then layered on the dsp, I used green on one side and the red on the other, but I added a scalloped edge to the red. I colored in the snowman using SU watercolor pencils then added some chunky glitter for 'snow'. I finished the front by adding ribbon, a bow and the snowbuddy tag. On the inside I made a tag that I stamped with Happy Holidays then I trimmed with a dauber and more chunky glitter.

(To view the photo close-up just click on it, then just close the window to return to my blog)

I hope you enjoyed my card, check back on Friday I will have a new project to share!

I have some holiday Blog Candy givaways planned for Oct, Nov, & Dec. so be sure to come back and visit!

The method I used to pick the winner was very simple, but democratic. I numbered all the comments from the first one on day 1 to the last one on day 5, so every comment you made received a number, then I put all the numbers on separate pieces of paper, put them in a large bowl, swished and mixed them all around, then my

daughter picked a number out of the bowl.....................

and the winner is Bridgett!!!

she said "Cute card! I like the ruffled ribbon you created at the bottom. So fun!"

Congratulations Bridgett!!!! Thank you so much for your wonderful comment, I love the ribbon too! You have won 6 Green Apple Caramel Spooky covered Lollipops and 6 Decorated Cello Bags filled with runts! your Candy! :)
My email address is: papercraftingstamper@gmail.com

I used vanilla CS for the base then added a layer of the DSP Letters to Santa, then on a separate piece of vanilla I embossed the stamped ornaments in gold, merry christmas is also gold heat embossed. To accent I used the crochet lace ribbon and antique brad. It's a different take on christmas cards but I really love the gold, vanilla and brown together.
Here's my materials list:
Vanilla CS #101650
Letters to Santa DSP #122349
Tree Trimmings Stamp Set #116722

Day 5 Glitter Queens First Blog Hop!

I hope everyone has enjoyed our First Glitter Queens Blog Hop! I had an awesome time hopping around all the blogs, and I am in awe at all the wonderful comments and the number of visitors! There were so many beautiful creative projects that showcased the versatility of Stampin'Up!'s fabulous products, I know my wish list grew much larger than it already is, lol.....

I have been featuring the Spooky Bingo Bits Stamp Set all week and used them in a variety of projects, they are extremely versatile and fun to use! For today I thought I would use the set for what it was made for.... Spooky Bingo! Who says Bingo can't be fun and CUTE! I began by stamping the bingo card onto vanilla cardstock, then I layered it on the Frightful Sight DSP, then I used ribbon, brads, buttons, bling and stamped spooky bits popped up on dimensionals. I can't wait to play bingo with this set, cute fun!

You can see in the photo all the images on the scallop circles, those are what you use to play the game, I used the Milk Carton die to make a little spooky container to hold the bingo image pieces, it's decorated with stamped spider webs, spooky bits spiders, lace, and a "Have a wicked halloween" tag. I used a tiny clip for the closure.
For the Hop I was only able to get 4 cards completed, but I plan on making 4 to 6 more plus I would like to make some kind of box for the game to complete the set, I just ran short of time and couldn't get it all done, designing is very time consuming :).....I guess I will have to share that with you in a future blog post.

I want to thank everyone for taking the time to stop by and share your comments, your kind words are very much appreciated. Over the weekend I will be going through the comments and picking the winner of my Blog Candy! and I will announce the winner on Monday the 12th, so please stop by and check to see if you are the winner!
Thanks again for visiting my Blog I hope you enjoyed my projects!

Day 4 Glitter Queens Blog Hop

Here we are on Day 4 of the Blog Hop already.....my goodness time flies by when your having fun. For today's project I decided to do something 3-D, actually I've been wanting to use the Big Shot Milk Carton die to create some little haunted houses for quite some time and I'm only now getting around to it.

I have just one for you today, I really wanted to make up 2 but I didn't have enough time. It was alot of fun to create. After putting it together I used the spider web stamp from the Wicked Cool set to add spider web bits here and there on the walls. The windows and doors were just cut out of card stock and attached, then I added the window panes and little window on the front door. To add some dazzle to the roof I layered 2 colors together and used a punch on the edges. To finish I used the Spooky Bingo Bits, ghosts, headstone, bat, and spiders. The door handle is a glitter brad. I love the way it turned out so much, I'm going to make more! With Christmas coming up I'm thinking little Christmas house ornaments, hmmmm, be sure to come back for a visit and see what I come up with.

I hope you liked my little Haunted House, let me know what you think, that yummy blog candy is oh so close. Hopefully you arrived at my blog from after visiting with Candice Crawford. Next on the hop is Cely Havens.

I have to admit I didn't realize when I signed up for this hop that I would be showcasing a new project each day, but I quickly found out from one of the other queen's post, silly me, anyway I've been in a bit of a frenzy to create more 'hop' worthy projects and as a result my craft room is quite the diaster, lol. Looks like I'll spend next week re-organizing.....but enough of that.....

I really love the card I have to share with you today, even though I am featuring the Spooky Bingo Bits set, I combined the Pennant Parade with it to create a cute spooky banner for the front of my card, I used the 1/8 inch taffeta ribbon to hang it from. I love it, for the moment it's my favorite, lol. Now I can't wait to play more with the Pennant Parade set, fun awaits!

Day 2 Glitter Queens Blog Hop!

Many Thanks to you all for the wonderful comments! It's so inspiring when others love my projects as much as I do :)......Be sure to check back on Monday the 12th, I'll be announcing the Blog Candy Winner!

Wow, I had so much fun hopping around to everyone's blog, there are so many fabulous creations and they are so inspiring, my wish list is growing, lol, I hope you enjoyed day 1 as much as I did.....now on to day 2.....

For today's post I decided to create a Spooky Greeting Card, I'm featuring the Spooky Bingo Bits Stamp Set and the DSP Frightful Sight. I created a gate fold card and used the Spider Web embossing folder on one side, I love this embossing folder, and the DSP on the other. I trimmed it just right to get those spiders dangling down on the side. The trio of spiders and the eeek sign are from the bingo bits set. On the inside I added a layer of the DSP and have a 'spooky' sign being hung by a couple of glittery bats.

I hope you like my project for today, keep those comments coming for more chances to win my blog candy. Be sure to hop on by tomorrow, I have another greeting card to share with you! Now on to Cely Havens Blog
