cQc 195 Daisies

Hello Papercrafters,

I'm back again with another challenge card courtesy of ColourQ's  cQc #195.  I really enjoy these color challenges they make me use color combinations together that I would not normally do, and I most often, lol, love the results.  This week as I was laying out the colors to see what I was working with I had a lightbulb moment about using a stamp, I had recently made a completely different type of card with, using the challenge colors. 

 It's a simple design, but I love how it turned out.......

FMS 91 Your my Hero Birthday

Hello Papercrafters, 

I hope everyone is having a great weekend so far......my girls and I got the house cleaned up this morning, then they have been swimming most of the afternoon while I have been cooking and crafting.  While I was having my morning coffee and perusing FB I came across a post by Freshly Made Sketches, 'still time to participate in fms91'...so I thought I would give it a try.  Here's the sketch....

 

 

I used a new stamp set I recently got,  'Your my hero', the Birthday candle wheel, and I also made use of some of the newly released colors and dsp.  Don't you just love the way the police car is pulling the sign with the candles on top :) fun, fun, this will be perfect for some lucky little guy's birthday!

ColourQ challenge 194 with Betty

Hello Papercrafters,

I'm back again with another challenge card.....ColourQ has had some really yummy summer colors that are fun and inspiring to work with, for CQC Challenge 194  the colors are, Poppy Parade, Calypso Coral, Gumball Green, Tempting Turquoise and white.  I always start these color challenges by getting all the colors in front of me,  in my quest for images I came across some stamps I have not used in awhile and I created this little beauty,  I say smiling to myself because I really liked the end result.

Friday Mashup 114-Giggle Greetings

Hello Papercrafters, 

It's another warm sunny day here, so glad we have a pool when the temps get hot, and they do around here.  I am really enjoying our slower pace, all of the kid taxiing that I do during the school is really tiring not to mention time consuming.  With all this extra time :) I have been getting creative and even started participating in some challenges, fun, fun!  I found a new for me challenge by Friday Mashup, so I decided to give it a try and mashup the challenge with the use of some new stamps and card stock.  I love the 'Giggle Greetings' set by SU, so I used the brick wall technique with my fence pieces, I thought it was a great background for the dog, besides I've been wanting to also try out my woodgrain folder.  Here's my card:

ColourQ Challenge 193

Hello Papercrafters, 

I had so much fun participating in the last ColourQ challenge that I decided to give this weeks color palette a try.  When I was looking over the palette and trying to decide what I would create, I came upon a new stamp set I received a few days ago and had not inked up,  and saw the bowl of cherries and walla there was my red.  I didn't really set out to create this layout it just turned out that way although  I have seen this layout done with many different types of stamps and colors.  Now that I did one I think I will case myself, lol and try it out with some different stamps.  Here my cqc challenge 193 card:

I used my blender pens and ink to paint the image,  the cardstock I stamped on is really whisper white but for some reason the red and the lighting makes it look slightly yellow.

ColourQ Challenge 192

Hello Papercrafters,

My girls have been out of school for a week now and I am enjoying the slower pace, between school and sports it seems like we are on the go all the time.  We got a new above ground pool,  it's been a couple of years since we last had one, so we are all enjoying hanging in the cool water, especially since the weather has been sooooo hot, in the 100's last few days. 

With all this time on my hands, lol,  I decided to participate in ColourQ's challenge this week,  I love the colors this week, blues and greens are and have always been some of my favorites.  I played with my markers and blender pens to color up the flowers and leaves.  I love the serene feel to this greeting, Thanks ColourQ for Challenging me!

Farm Critters Birthday

Hello Papercrafters, 

I have had one of the busiest spring's ever, my cousin had a wedding in May and I made the invitations, favor tags, flowers to decorate with and the cake. Wow. I was a little stressed out and so busy that I had no time for my blog or anything else.  So while it's was a great experience and I learned alot, I am so glad it's over, lol.  
I also neglected my etsy shop and all my listings had expired, not good, so for the last couple of days I have started creating and listing new item's in my shop, I am trying to get it filled up then start having holiday sales, but then I thought why not start now........so now through the end of June you can get 10% off any order of $3.50 or more before shipping and taxes....just use the coupon code of  SUMMER10.....if you forget the code don't fret I've also listed it on my shop's home page I am adding new items everyday so good check it out :)
Today I thought I would share one of the cards I created for my shop, I've been making some cards more for kids......trying to get more variety.......I like pretty, girlie and tend to create alot along that line so I'm breaking out of the box.  This is a cute card with little farm critters to celebrate the birthday boy. 

I used some of SU's new card stock and the new stamp set Label Love, the inside sentiment is from the set Happiest Birthday Wishes.  I free hand cut out the cloud and daubed the edges a bit with sky blue.
