Flirtatious Doily Flower Greeting

Happy Friday,

I love the weekends, especially when they are 3 day weekends! Both this week and next are, I need the extra day with no alarm,lol.....already I am longing for spring break, a whole week, no, 10 days off :)
Today I want to share with you a greeting with a flower focal point, I made using the die cut doily sheets in the 'Flirtatious' DSP pk.

To begin I carefully cut away one of the doily's from the die cut sheet, there is a variety of shapes and designs, cut it away so it looks like a small complete doily when done. Then I used a dauber and 'soft suede' ink on the doily edges, if you lay it on a piece of paper it's easier. Set the doily aside, then using the fancy flower punch, punch out 2 flowers, I used 'Flirtatious' DSP, then I used the vanilla lined DSP and punched out 1 doily flower with the 3-way punch. Use the dauber and 'soft suede' on the edges of all the punched flowers. Then use something round (like a knitting needle or crochet hook) and curl up the edges of the fancy flower shapes and the doily piece.
Now just assemble using a brad, I used 'enchanted', the doily goes on the bottom then the 2 fancy flowers, then the small doily flower. I used small ribbon to create a bow that I attached like leaves.
I love the look of the flower, I think they would also work well on scrapbook pages, they are kind of large, but that also works well for a simple, quick, but fabulous card front.
Enjoy and have a fantastic weekend!

Inspired Mojo Monday Greeting

Hello,

I've been so busy around the house getting rid of clutter and trying to re-organize the house that I needed a little inspiration boost, so I checked out the mojo monday blog and used their sketch to create this greeting. This was from a couple of weeks ago so if you were to go there yourself you will find an entirely different sketch, sometimes it takes me awhile to get around to things, lol, with 3 girls and husband it's amazing that I get anything creative done, they can mess things up faster that I can clean :-)

The front reminds me of quilt blocks, I even did a little faux sewing/stitching around the blocks. I used the DSP 'Enchanted', and the the stamp set 'Fresh Vintage',plus some of the brads ,all from the Salebration Catalog. If you have not yet seen the fabulous items you can get Free with a $50. purchase, let me know and I will get a catalog to you.
I like the way it turned out, and it got me to thinking about doing some of my own card layout sketches, so much to do, so little time:D
Thanks for stopping by.....have a great day!

Simply 'Enchanted' Greeting

Greetings,
Here we are already Monday, seems like the weekends fly by......I did enjoy a fun game of Scrabble with my oldest daughter and my husband last night, I even got a bonus! :D

Today I have a simple greeting using the 'Enchanted' DSP in the Salebration catalog. I really love the colors in the collection, don't miss out on getting your own for FREE, any purchase of $50. or more before taxes and shipping is eligible!

I created the flower from the Hostess Set 'Posy Punch' in the IBC, I stamped it 3 times in Poppy Parade and used and 'Enchanted' brad in the center and added some of the ribbon, you get with the brads, for the 'leaves'.

My apologies for the photos, I'm working with a new camera and I have to learn how to use some new software and I haven't had the time lately. I hope to have this issue remedied soon.
Thanks for stopping by...

Flirtatious Specialty DSP Greeting

Good Morning,

Today I wanted to share a simple greeting using SU's Flirtatious Specialty DSP, it's made to coordinate with the Hello Doily and Delicate Doilies stamp sets. I don't have either of these sets, but I still created a doily for the front by cutting one out of the DSP, they include a couple of sheets that are like die cut doilys, several designs together on one page, I just carefully cut one off of the corner to create one complete doily. I used some silk flowers and pearl embellishments to fancy up the front. I stamped the inside with Because I care. This card comes together really quickly, but still looks quite elegant.

Thanks for stopping by, wishing you a wonderful Thursday!

It's Salebration Time!!!

Greetings all,

I've only been with Stampin'Up! since 2009 but I have come to love Salebration time! Not only do you get hostess dollars with a workshop of $150.00 or more, you also get to choose one item from the Salebration brochure for every $50. before tax/shipping that you spend! Wow, plus workshops of $150. or more you get a free tote! This years Salebration items include stamp sets, CS, DSP, embellishments, decor elements, and MDS. This is a fantastic time to stock up on your paper crafting supplies!

The background of this greeting was created with the DSP Enchanted from the Salebration brochure, I love this paper the colors and prints are so nice, this one reminded me of wall paper so I used the framed folder to create a 'picture', then stamped the butterflies and the flowers. I used dimensionals to attach them. I scrunched up some vanilla ribbon and attached to the bottom and attached the tag right on top of the ribbon. The inside is stamped with; Amazing, Awesome, Talented, You.
So hop on over to my website and start stocking up, Salebration is over on March 31, 2012, I have a list of my own a mile long from the new Occasions Mini and the Salebration brochure, they are both full of lots of new fun products to get creative with.....thanks for stopping by!

Christmas Scrapbook-Simply Scrappin

Greetings to everyone!

My apologies for being absent for so long, the power supply went out on my computer :( and I just got the new one yesterday, yea!!! I feel so out of touch and it's so hard to get things done, I found I really rely on my computer for so many things, besides I miss all my stamping friends :) Although with the holidays I was very busy plus my girls were out of school for winter break for 3 weeks, wow, but I really had fun hanging with them, we played lots of games, both board and cards, we made cookies and decorated cake pops, did some crafting, watched movies and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves; but it's Great to be back!!!

I have a Christmas Scrapbook I created with SU's Simply Scrappin Kit and the Letters to Santa Quick Accents. I began with a chipboard book, it's 6" x 8" with several pages and lots of room to journal and add photos......... for anyone out there that likes to scrapbook these kits and accent kit's make it so easy to create a fabulous scrapbook you could use for yourself or it would make an awesome gift!

Now I need to get some holiday photos printed to fill it with :)

Just a little reminder...SU's new Occasions Mini Catalog is out and it is filled with so many awesome goodies that you'll just have to have, lol, and just around the corner is Salebration time!!! that means lots of freebies for you, with every $50. order you choose something from the Salebration catalog, ooh there's some cool stamps, CS, DSP and embellishments to be had! and you'll also get a free tote! Awesome, can't wait :) Actually being a demo I got to try out a few things from the salebration catalog and I made a card I love, but I can't share until the catalog goes live, so you'll have to wait and see what I made, tee hee.

I hope you all have a wonderful day!
