SU Pretty Presents Bow Stepped up Lg

Hello Papercrafters,

Well I finally managed to get the video ready for viewing that I promised.....my apologies to anyone who came by expecting it sooner, but I had a tooth that just decided out of the blue to start aching which was because of infection, I found out when I went to the dentist :(  well now I have the medicine to take care of that, and the bad ache has gone but the tooth has to be pulled and lucky me it has really long roots so I have to go back to get it done when they have more time set aside. Boo hoo I am not looking forward to that at all, they are talking surgical removal which means they are cutting into my gums :/ major bummer.

Anyway that's why I'm so late with my post, good news is I have another video ready for Wednesday.....it's my stepped version of the small bow from the Pretty presents kit.  If you haven't gotten one of these bow kits yet well you don't want to miss out, you get 10 total in the kit each is double sided, 5 are small and 5 large for only $3.95!  I love them and I want another kit to try some other stepped up versions................get them here at my SU shop!

Here is a photo of theLarge Bow after being stepped up

Sorry the color is not quite right in the photo, I had to take it at night.....here is the video............Enjoy!  and be sure to stop by for the small version!

Truly Grateful Greeting

Hello Papercrafters,

Happy Monday to you all, I am so happy our weather is taking a cool down this week, tomorrow it's supposed to start cooling down into the 80's!!!, yeah that is cool for us :-)

This morning I signed up to chaperone my daughter to 6th grade camp :0  it's a 3 day tour, lol, but seriously it's going to be fun and I am looking forward to it, and needless to say my daughter is so excited!  They have been selling cookies and tri-tip sandwich lunches to earn the rest of the money they need to attend, I am so surprised at her saleswomenship, lol, she sold a whole box of cookies while on the bus ride home her first sales day!  Yep she's awesome :)

With the change in weather of course there will be a change in projects, yep the fall inspired projects are being developed.  Today I have a greeting card I created using the new burlap ribbon, love this ribbon and it's perfect for fall, I also used the 'Truly Grateful' stamp set and 'sweater weather' dsp from the holiday mini and I used the 'Gorgeous Grunge' stamp set from the IBC.

For embellishing I used some of our 'candy dots' from the brights,in the upper right corner, and a button from the regals with some linen thread. To cut the leaves I used the 'Autumn Accents' Bigz die then I used a dauber to add some color to the edges.

Thank you for stopping by today, I have to be off I have a busy day ahead, errands to run this morning and I have to pick up my girls from school and head to a dental appointment.

We have another Glitter Queens hop, fall inspired, coming up the first week of October, so be sure to watch for the details, I will share when I find them out.   I will be back on Wednesday with a new post and a video, so please stop by!

Have a wonderful day!

Indigo Gumball Ferns and Flowers

Hello Papercrafters,

It's Friday!, yea I'm so ready for the weekend, I just noticed today is Friday the

13th, hope it's a great day for all!  I have an aunt who was married on a Friday the

13th and she has always considered it good luck, so that's how I look at it.

I'm beginning to notice a little change in the weather, I'm so glad I am looking forward to fall, I

love the weather around here that time of year and the fact that it's the beginning of the holiday

season, the way it goes from Halloween to Thanksgiving to Christmas it seems like a season.

I have another video to share with you today, the card I am demonstrating was one I

created for a color challenge the colors are island indigo, gumball green and whisper white,

I misspoke during the video and said I used very vanilla but it's all whisper white :-)

I liked the way it turned out so well that I thought I  would create a video.  Here's the card

 and the video........

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Please stop by again soon I have many new projects in the works that I will be sharing, videos too!

Bats for you Greeting Card

Hello Papercrafters,

This day has just flown by, I was planning on getting this posted earlier in the day but sometimes, what am I saying, lol, often the day doesn't go as planned.  Oh well, now dinner and most of the homework chores are done so while everyone is outside getting some exercise for a bit I'm taking the opportunity to post my card :)

I have a Halloween card to share today, the Halloween themed hop kind of got me in the mood plus I have a Halloween themed swap coming up, but I've pretty much used up one package of 'witches brew' dsp....so I need to order so more for classes and video's.

Today's card was made using the 'Halloween hello' set, plus I used the woodgrain embossing folder, and the 'witches brew' dsp

For the edging I used a border punch, if you didn't have that particular punch you could use pinking shears to get the same effect.

The bat was cut out by hand, we do not have a punch for it.

My orange cs base was textured, which is why the sentiment has that look. This greeting really goes together quite quickly, I have a video in the works to demonstrate how I created it,  it's scheduled to go live next week.

Thank you for stopping by, I will be back Friday with a greeting card and it's video, it's a card  I recently designed for a challenge, so come back and see what is new in my crafty corner!

Have a great day!

Mini Envelope and Candy Favor Video Tutorials

Hello Papercrafters,

Welcome to my Blog, our Glitter Queens hop is over but just as I promised I have some video tutorials to share that show for some reason the cone video didn't upload right so I will try to fix that and get it posted over the weekend.  My apologies, my oldest daughter had a dental appointment this afternoon and I just didn't have enough time to figure out the problem.   However I did manage to get the mini envelope and the favor everyone liked the most, the mini hershey candy bar favor video's done!!!

At first I tried to put them all on one but it was running too long and without a helper it's hard to keep it all organized,  so I made a separate video for each, I am new to how-to video's and simple for now is better for me, I'll learn as I go. So please excuse my poor videographer skills I'm just starting out so they can only keep getting better right?, lol, anyway  Thank you all for the fabulous comments, I really, really appreciate it!!  Enjoy the video!

Here's a link to the Mini Envelope Tutorial:

http://youtu.be/qur46UIO4iM

Here is the link to the video for the mini hershey favor, now on this video I actually forgot to add the dsp to the front of the favor like I did for the hop, for the front I used a piece of dsp 1 3/8 x 2 3/4" and it is attached with snail to the front, (see the still pic) sorry about that, I'm still trying to figure this all out, lol.

winner of my blog candy is        Sandi !!!   Congratulations!!!

Please send your address to my email at :  papercraftingstamper@gmail.com  and put Blog Candy in the subject line,  so I know where to send your prize! Thank You so much for taking time from your day to visit my blog, I really appreciate your wonderful comment, comments always make my day!

I hope you enjoyed my videos today, thanks again for stopping by for a visit, The Glitter Queen's have another hop planned for early October it will be a Fall/ Thanksgiving theme, so be sure to stop by I will post the details as soon as I have them.

Glitter Queens Hop Day 3 Favor Me Spooky

Hello Papercrafters,

Welcome to Day 3 of our Glitter Queen's Blog Hop! .....I can't believe it's already day 3, these hops always go by so fast, must be because there so much fun!

Today I have favors to share with you, I love Halloween and treat favors of all sorts are extremely popular for this spooky day, and since I still have school age children they are something my girls always want me to make and take to their school parties.  I had a idea and decided to create a mini envelope then decorate it all spooky like and fill with candies....ok I love these little favors because not only are they super fun and easy to make, they are also super cute and hold several candies.

I am working a  video showing how I created them and will be sharing that on Friday when I announce my blog candy winner!

But for now basically I just made a mini envelope starting with a piece of cs 5" x 5" and using the diagonal scoring plate score all sides at  2 1/4", then fold and using adhesive seal, I flipped the top flap to the back and attached a piece of ribbon with a staple.  Then just decorate and fill!  I used the 'Witches Brew'dsp and the 'Halloween Hello' & 'Halloween Bash' stamp sets, plus our new halloween glitter and 'Witches Brew' washi tape.

These favors are the small box that holds the mini hershey's candy bars.....I know they are a blast from the past, but they still remain a favorite to make and give so I decided to make an updated version with our current dsp and stamps, I created a band for them to close then I decorated the band and added some glitter....don't you just love that bat, the bat and the witch on the broom are my favorite stamps from that set.

And last but not least I have a cone shaped favor, once sealed they end up kind of flat but would still hold something like mints, jelly beans, jewelry or other small gifts.  The picture show 2  sizes the larger cone is made with a 6" x 6" piece of dsp the small is made with a 4" x 4" piece.

I used the same dsp and stamp set as on the other favors.   If you come back on friday I will have a video showing how I created all of the favors, so please come back on Friday!; you know you want to learn how there made :)

Don't forget I have BLOG CANDY!   Follow my blog and leave a comment and you just might win the 'Halloween happiness' stamp!  Winner will be announced on Friday!

Thank you so much for visiting and joining our GQ Blog Hop, I hope you were as inspired as I was!  There will be another hop next month be sure to watch for the details!

Glitter Queen's Blog Hop Day 2- Halloween Cards

Welcome to day 2 of our Glitter Queens Hop!  I'm so happy you've stopped by for day 2, I'm excited to see what the other GQ's have created for today..... I got so many great ideas from day 1, I can't wait to try them out......and of course every time we have a hop I see a project made with a tool, dsp, or something I don't have then I have to shop too!..... lol...

Today I have 2 cards to share with you both were created using the stamp sets 'Halloween Hello' & 'Halloween Bash' and the dsp 'Witches Brew' from the holiday mini.....

On my first card I also used the 'Witches Brew' washi tape,  the washi tape is fun to use and can instantly step up a card, I began with a very vanilla base, 4 1/4 x 5 1/2,  and randomly added the tape so it was peeking out from the edges of the label, I used the famelits die to cut out the label.  I used black stazon to stamp out the witch and the label and I stamped the Halloween hello with versamark and heat embossed it with tangerine tango.

On the inside I stamped the image once in black then again in orange on a scrap piece and cut out the word creepy, popped it up and laid it over the stamped image.

For my second card I used summer starfruit for the base and layered on some 'Witches Brew' dsp, I stamped the spooky creatures onto vanilla and use a 1" punch to cut out, the image in the middle was layered up on the small scallop punch piece and I used a retired 3 way punch for the in between layer of black I felt like it needed.  I had some left over googly eyes and thought they would be a great addition to the skeleton.  I wanted to 'spooky' up the creepy crawly label so I did a zig zaggie cut at the bottom.  I added some of SU's candy dots, love them!, to accent the corner.

And now let's talk about BLOG CANDY!  :-)  Follow my Blog and leave a comment on any or all of the hop days, each comment gives you a chance to WIN my Blog Candy.....On Friday I will randomly pick the Winner!...who will receive the 'Halloween Happiness' Stamp from the holiday mini, from me!   So be sure to leave a comment!

Tomorrow I will be showcasing some Halloween Favors so be sure to come back and see all the goodies!  Have a great day!  Now off to Jan's Blog.....

Glitter Queens Blog Hop Day 1

Hello Papercrafters,

Welcome to Day 1 of our Glitter Queens Blog Hop!  We are so excited to have you join us and we hope you enjoy all the fun, fabulous, Halloween creations we have to share........you should have just arrived from Jennifer's blog...don't you love what she has created, I'm so inspired!

For today's post I created 2-  12"x12", scrapbook pages, I used a combination of dsp, I love the candy shop page from the 'Witches Brew' dsp in the holiday mini, so I decided to separate the different elements on the page and use them to create a 2 page layout.

For the background I used some retired halloween dsp (although I believe they are available as a download for mds) and I arranged the cut apart elements from the candy shop sheet onto the backgrounds.

I created some spots for photos although I have not actually added any yet, I also used the 'Witches Brew' dsp for them and layered them onto black and gray cs and added a little accent on the corners with a white gel pen.

The candies were stamped from the 'Halloween Hello' stamp set from the holiday mini and I covered them with crystal effects so they would have the look of wrapped candy.  I also used some orange rickrack and candy dots from the brights collection to enhance the image background.

And just for fun here's a photo of me and my girls hamming it up for Halloween a couple years ago....we were all dressed up as vampires, it was so fun!

Each day of the hop I will have different types of papercrafts to share...so be sure to come back every day plus if you follow me or become a follower and leave a comment you will be entered into the drawing for my BLOG CANDY!!!  I will gather all comments during the hop and award the prize on Friday! Woo Hoo Free stuff!  Tell your Friends too!, the more the merrier!

Thank you for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed my projects for today and I hope you will stop by tomorrow, I have some cards to share!

Have a great day!.....now hop on over to Jan's Blog and see what fun goodies she has to share!
